A pretty piece of driftwood I found on the beach today carefully sculpted by Teredo worms (Teredo navalis).
Teredo navalis are a form of saltwater clams and can be very destructive to submerged wood.

Eurasian Collared-DoveĀ (Streptopelia decaocto) – 2022
I managed to get a photo of this bird a couple of days ago. Originally found in Asia, primarily China and India, these bird have been slowly moving worldwide. In 1974 in the Bahamas around 50 captive birds escaped and have now spread over much of North America. I’m not sure when they arrived in our area, the southwest coast of British Columbia, but it was a first for me.
