Calendar – April 2019

The black bears should just be making their appearance now, coming out of hibernation. When I took this photo in April of 2016 this guy was thinking about raiding our compost bin. He was a young bear and hadn’t learned about electric fences. It only takes one encounter and the bears shy away from any wire fencing on the property. The shock doesn’t hurt the bear but it does give it an unpleasant jolt which I unfortunately know about from experience.

Calendars

Over the past few years I have been giving calendars to acquaintances as Christmas presents. I thought I might share some of those photos over the next couple of weeks. Some may be repeats of previous posts but if I can’t remember perhaps you won’t either 😀
