Up the Inlet – 2007

Location: Off Nine Mile Point, Sechelt Inlet, British Columbia, Canada

  1. My best mate worked for BC Transit way back in the early nineties. I had made the trip out to see Rush at the Pacific colliseum. We hired a speedboat and set off up the Burrard inlet. Great fun and thousands of jellyfish ——- when we set course for home we were caught by an incoming tide through the narrows. It was the closest I have come to a near death experience.

    • Yes, tides can make for some interesting times here on the West Coast of Canada. It makes you appreciate the power of water. I see that you have just started following my blog – welcome. You live in the neighbourhood of my family roots. My great great grandfather, along with brothers & sisters left Bowness-on-Solway in 1839 and settled in Ontario, Canada.
