Sargeant Bay Provincial Park – 2015 (7 photos)
On Sunday we went for a walk at the 155 hectare (383 acre) Sargeant Bay Park, about a 15 minute drive from our house. The park is quite unique. Sargeant Bay is a large west facing bay and is open to strong westerly winds. The wave action from these winds has created a large berm that, over time, has formed a fresh water lake behind it. The berm itself is about 60 meters (200 feet) wide and provides a wonderful walking trail with the ocean on one side and the shallow lake on the other.
