Great shot!Black and white is a great choice for this scene.
Thanks Deb! Yes, I’m pleased with the results – a great range of shades.
Very Ansel Adams!
Thank you! Wow – an honorary member of the f64 Group!
Now you’ll be thinking about shooting on view cameras!
Well, I do have a wonderful old Speed Graphic but haven’t used it.
4×5?
Yup. It belong to a family friend. He was a photographer for the RCMP. Hard to imagine nowadays as it is on the cumbersome side.
When I did my diploma in photography the whole first year was done on 4×5 view cameras. One assignment was shooting a hockey game…imagine that! In second year we used more modern equipment.
When I worked in Liverpool all our studio work was shot either on 4×5 or 8×10.
Large format can be fun, but I could never afford a digital back for one of those cameras.
No, I imagine they would be pricy but very impressive.
This is fantastic.
Thanks very much!
