Marine Traffic – 2014

This was taken from the seawalk in front of our town of Sechelt, British Columbia. The land in the distance, across Georgia Strait, is Vancouver Island. The two large cruise ships are making their way from Vancouver to Alaska. The low white ship between them is the BC ferry that travels between West Vancouver and Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. You are only seeing half the height of the ferry because of the curvature of the earth. A tugboat towing a barge loaded with gravel is in the foreground. All a pretty typical scene on a Spring evening.
