In My Room – 1970

This is different views of my bedroom in 1970. Just about every inch of walls and ceiling were covered in collages, photographs and posters. I spent LOTS of time in there!

  1. I like the record player too, but those wire coat hangers brought the biggest smile. Being a mend and make do merchant, I’ve used those for so many different fixes in my time. 🙂

    • Thanks very much Klausbernd. The baby bottles were posters of an art showing by artist David Mayrs in a Vancouver art gallery. I can’t remember how I got so many of them. I don’t know if they had some sort of psychological significance! I have been enjoying your blog and seeing your part of the world.

    • Thanks for the comment Laurie. Yes, they were. I think it was an incredibly creative era – music, art, fashion, social/political/environmental dissension, etc. Definitely not a spirit of apathy in those days.
