Fallen Bouquet 2005

This bouquet caught my eye while walking on a path at the Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park in Comox, BC.

I did this watercolour of the photo later in 2005.  It measures 22″ x 30″ (56 x 76.2 cm).  I’m not a particularly prolific painter and it is the second to last painting that I’ve done.

  1. Oh, this is really wonderful. I know how difficult watercolor is. This must have taken a long time to finish. Both the photo and the painting are great. Just so rich. Glad you posted this! I keep telling myself to paint, get out the watercolors, but I put it off. It’s so much easier to take pictures.

    • Thanks. I started with watercolour and nobody told me it was difficult so stayed with it. I’ve done some acrylic but still prefer watercolour. It didn’t take too long to do but I’m a lazy painter so I paint when the muse hits which tends to draw things out. I’m with you though, much easier to take pictures.
